I remember you saying that mayweather fought hatton at WW while pac fought hatton at his best weight 140, so pac win is better, yet does it really matter, i mean according to you it all about fight night weight, therefore the only one with the advantage was hatton.

If I did say that, it must have been in response to those who try to taint Pac’s win over Hatton by trying to claim Hatton was drained at that weight. Hatton claims he was too small for WW, and that LW was his ideal weight. By his own admission, Pacquiao beat him at his [Hatton’s] preferred weight. That’s probably what I was trying to say.

Not that it means **** all to what we’re talking about now. Mayweather spanking Hatton had nothing to do with weight (I don’t believe Hatton when he says he was hindered at WW). Mayweather spanked Hatton because he was the better fighter. 140 or 147, the result would have been the same.

I agree that it's a stretch but I believe that he's trying to say that Marquez's usual fight day weight(as a LW) will be about the same as when he fights Pacman at WW...without having to boil down first. Throw in the fact that Pacquaio doesn't clinch or use his weight/strength very much and you'll see that what he's saying actually sort of makes sense to a degree.

Reggie knew what I meant. He's just ignoring it to pull up any excuse to dismiss what will be a legitimate win over a legitimate opponent under legitimate circumstances.

The difference is that Hatton's style was entirely based upon having a weight and strength advantage over his opponent, which he had at 140 but did not at 147.

Rico, you're not getting my point no matter how different ways I try to explain it. You're trying to boil everything down to fight night weight, and it's a flawed way of thinking. Again, we'll just have to agree to disargee. If you think the weight is a non factor, that's your opinion.

Stop trying to put words into my mouth. The fact of the matter is, Pacquiao already beat Marquez, and he did it when they were both competing in the same division. It really doesn't matter how much anyone discredits this win, the fact of the matter is, Pac already has a win over this guy and that's not going to change. That fact however, does not have to stop me from giving an objective outlook on this fight.

:deal But it will still be entertaining for the time.... Even though it will be sad to see Marquez get outclassed again.
