    well he's in a situation where Donaire's intended opponent (Montiel) pulled out of the fight to get a more lucrative fight against Darchinyan. And Arum can't keep Donare inactive forever. I mean Donaire's gotta get paid at some point too. So he's kind of in a rut.

    And to Donaire's credit he was offered a much easier fight but insisted on Martinez who is in the ring top10

    since when are the promoters and managers and ceo's of boxing businesses not horrid, inhuman louses with no sense of what the fans want or will pay for? arum is just another in a line that stretches from don king to the ancient gladiatorial arenas. mismatches, poor venue choices, over-hyped prospects, protected fighters, contractual negotiations canning great matchups have always been, unfortunately, the ****** wreches forever in the gears of an ideal system. but, the gears of boxing, i gues just keep pressing on despite the waste and inhumanity of its business people.

    Great fight, personally i woulda had this fight in Boracay Island. Emagine that. White sand crystal blue water..but someone getting F up, that's for sure. Emagine that.
