Are you sure? You must be talking about Los Angeles I guess. Even then, I thought most Mexicans fight against other Meixcans or Blacks. I don't see many Mexicans starting **** with Asians.

:huh...they're not even alike. Penalosa nowadays may not be as agile, but he sure was when he was as young as viloria

Would it be a reach to say Donaire looks a lot like Floyd at 130? Lots of power, great handspeed, quick on his feet, good movement, and very good defense. And that laserlike straight right pull-counter, that's Floyd stuff right there!!! Unca Roger should work with this guy!!! He'd be a monster!!!

i agree with you, i liked donaire, i see some similarities with floyd. If mayweather sr. or roger is his trainer he will be great imo. Plus with the size of his i can see him grabbing up titles while moving up probably 130 lbs as his last stop.

They fight nothing alike, IMO. Floyd was always a defensive genius. Nonito's defense is his offense.

Well yeah, Floyd has always been a marvel defensively but at 130 he liked to let his hands go too and that is where I see the similarities. Nonito is alot like Floyd minus the shoulder roll. Quick, precise and powerful. And seeing that pull counter put me into deja vu, I mean how many people besides Floyd can pull that off?

just watched it as well and the stoppage was the most premature stoppage i have ever seen but it seems that Raul's corner didn't protest that much nor did Raul himself so i guess its OK

Donaire's left hook counter while moving away is just a thing of beauty :bbb

Donaire is very different from Floyd. Different stance, different footwork.

people would think that it was a bad stoppage but i think it was the right thing to do. besides, the ref is in the best position to judge the fight. there were stretches that martinez was simply being overwhelmed and already with 4 KD, it was about time to save the kid from further damage.

donaire looks like JMM but more aggressive. Those uppercuts and hooks are textbook nacho.
