GIF of the year (now that they've stopped with the tits and ass in the lounge). That left-hook counter against Montiel really reminded me of Sugar Ray Robinson.

 

WOW.. Good ****.. First this dudes knocks out Vic and made him forget what happened. Now he downs another one of my favorite little guys.. That mother****er.

 

montiel got messed up,mexican in him made him get up some how.

looked like he was dreaming he was running when he was out on the floor.

 

You could see after this punch and the good counter left to the body just a bit before that Montiel knew he was in a heap of trouble. Donaire's money punch is that counter left hook, but he also has a sneaky fast lead right. There were some moments where Nonito seemed to be doing a RJJ impersonation when stalking Montiel. His movements mimicked Roy's signature swagger.

 

damn. The way he twitched looked like he was gonna need some real help getting up.

 

Guys Montiel getting up is no doubt impressive but I highly doubt it was intentional. He appeared to have gotten up out of reaction, more like he woke a bad nightmare and got up to say why the F*** am I in the floor. Then he appeared to look at the ref to say who the hell are you, and why am I in this ring.

He certainly did not know where he was nor knew he was fighting. it was apparent as he left his hands down before he realized Donaire was going to hit him, even though Donaire was already rushing at him across the ring.

 

When I was in college, I kept a Boa Constrictor for a pet. It ate rats and I had to break the rat's neck before giving it to the snake. Their legs always twitched involuntarily like that (often in addition to pissing and crapping) when their necks were broken. It was frightening to see Fernando in that sort of shape.

 

Unbelievable how he got up from that.
