Well, I mean I think she probably has a big say in thing related his career. She seems to me like one of those wives that has a say in her husbands actions and behavior and he seems like he puts a lot of trust and thought into her opinions and advice. Basically, I think maybe she is involded in many of his career decisions. I could be wrong.

True. Is this one of the main reasons why the Filipinos have struggled to take a liking to him?

She seems to me that type, too. I'm not sure, though if Nonito's the kinda guy to whom his wife might tell where to go and what to do.

Why do you say that he seems like he puts a lot of trust in her opinion? Did you get that sense from an interview?

Shane definitely seems to me like Jin might have been running that show.

I didn't know the Filipinos weren't taking a liking to him, that's very interesting.
This is only the third fight of his I've seen and haven't been watching many interviews and following what's been happening with him, so I don't know whether I have the full sense of his public persona yet, but I can't see what other possible reason there could be.

I think what the thread starter is driving that is Nonito should dial down his cockiness so that he will be as loved as pac. Fact is, Filipinos don't like cocky people, it's a culture thing, that is why it is really hard for Filipinos to embrace Nonito just like Pac.

Example, when a Filipino tells his friend that he performed great, his friend reply will be a self-depreciating one like, "Not really, I just got lucky." or something else. They DON'T usually reply, "Yeah, I'm great because that's the way I am" or something along that line.

Anything will sell as long as you wins against the best! Even the boring Floyd sells because of his arrogance!

Yeah I didnt think donaire said anything wrong in the interview. kellerman was annoying asking him about his father and then trying to ask him about fighting pac when he is at 118 which is just a stupid question to ask

In boxing, the only teachers are your opponents, and the greatest teacher, is the one that gives your first loss.
