Not sure if this has been posted here yet nor everyone else has seen it. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-4Ooe863xo&feature=player_embedded[/ame] you thoughts?
I didn't know they were sparring partners at some point. Now this makes me wonder... At flyweight, Pacquiao vs. Donaire...hmm, I'm thinking Donaire would school that version of Pac.
Maybe...but Pac speed and akward angles have always caught other fighters off guard. Even this raw version of Pac Man would be highly dangerous.
Donaire seems like a cool guy, and he can go quite far. They should have him on the undercard. Who is his trainer at the moment?
Donaires was always going to ramble on about Pacs greatness. Id like to see Mosely, Oscar and Ricky Hattons views on the bout.
Im sure their good trainers but he could probably go further with Roach, that said I think Roach has too many fighters at the moment.
Donaire seems really cool. He also brings up an interesting point about Pac's 'rhythm', or rather lack of it. You can really see it when Pac fights, he confuses people with his strange angles of attack and sudden, machine-gun like movements. He's a spoiler; throws you off your game, makes you hesitant, and then opens fire relentlessly until your armour peels off and you fall apart. What makes it more interesting is that Floyd attempts to do much the same when he fights -- in terms of not getting into a rhythm, I mean. He specifically pointed this out during an interview on YT, where he indicated that he deliberately mixes his movement and punches up to constantly switch rhythms and confuse the other guy. Pac is, in my opinion, better at that than Floyd, but I actually like seeing Floyd settle into a rhythm, because he really does box beautifully, with a lot of grace and finesse. Fighting in rythm suits him very well, whereas Pacman's frenzied unpredictability suits his style. I would guess that fighting in a rhythm comes naturally to Floyd, and it's a habit he tries to break out of now and then in the ring, to keep others guessing, but Pac doesn't have to try, because the 'rhythmless' quality comes naturally to him. Very interesting to see the contrast between the two fighters, and how they both excel in different ways. I was also quite surprised to hear that Donaire would rather have Pacman's style/ability than Floyd's -- I haven't seen much of Donaire in the ring, but he seemed like more of a technical, slick guy, and they normally look up to master boxers more than Pac's style.
I think he is right in his assment of both boxers, but in the end I think Mayweather's stringhts will out do Pacquaio's stringhths
I completely agree with his analysis about "why" he feels Manny will beat Floyd, however......I think Floyd will be able to outpoint Manny in the end. I wouldn't be surprised if Manny won by early stoppage or by Decision because what Nonito said I've always stated about Manny. Manny has skills! He's just not the "classic boxer" style that is so appeasing to the eye. He's awkward and his spuratic offense is incredibly hard to guage. Nonito put it better.......PAC doesn't have a set rythm....which is why you don't know what he's gonna do. To anticipate PAC is like trying to solve the rubics cube for the first time. Floyd is gonna have problems. But I feel Floyd is such a talent and so brilliant with his ability to adapt that he'll find a way to win....even when the fight gets tough! Though no one has really seen floyd in real trouble....we will on March 13th....and as a true champion, I feel Floyd will show us why he should be considered one of the best of this era.
