I am sure Mijares would say the same of Donaire.

Unless they start negotiations? I don' care what they say really.....just talk.

Why can't his team fight Mijares then?

If he is so confident in beating him, make a way for it ASAP. Mijares is already in the top 10 list p4p; it will be a good way of being noticed more.

    What do you think?

    haha, you betcha.

anyway, this will be an interesting fight but right now, mijares is just too talented to be outboxed by donaire. I also think mijares is faster and smarter although donaire might have a slight edge in power. We cant ignore the fact that mijares has beaten up more competitive guys.

Lets see the match then. I like Donaire, but I haven't seen enough to convince me that he is an outstanding fighter like Mijares.

Donaire has skills and it'd be a fight I'd like to see. That said, the only advantage I'd give him against Mijares is power, and that wouldn't be enough, imo. Mijares would probably outbox him to a wide decision win, assuming the judges aren't totally blind for once.

it will be exiting fight but I hope donaire should fight 3 to 4 times a year to have his rythm.

With lower weights I don't think it matters as much....
Often times fighters who move up from such a lighter weight do just as good if not better
Donaire is surely quicker with his hands and feet than Mijares...not sure about power though...at the same weight I could see them being about the same.....Even though I think Donaire would do well against Mijares maybe even beat him, it's way to early to tell for Donaire, he needs better names under his belt before I'm convinced:deal
