That's horrendous. It's like a trip back in time to the 20s, except even then I think the ref would've intervened earlier. If they hadn't shown him talking to the fighters at the beginning of the clip I'd have said 'what referee?'

The guy has no business refereeing boxing. He needs to go get an eye test. Then a brain scan. Then another eye test.

I know, it is horrific, I think in the full fight video the referee actually starts counting when he finally goes down.

Yes me too. I really like Donaire, he's a class act. He was still showing quality in his recent defeat to Frampton, but you can tell he's slowed and he has no business being in the ring with Inoue. What's left to prove?

 

Donaire is done, look at his showing against Frampton whilst spirited he really had nothing to offer except the left hook.

 

An aging fighter moving down and facing a puncher - bad idea.
