Donaire IS the best Filipino boxer. There's no controversy surrounding any of his accomplishments - no steroids, no catchweights, no capitalization on misperception of public (Manny beating shot fighters with notable names), no nonsense.

Donaire is best Filipino boxer, no doubt about it

If you have to ask the question yourself, you probably already know the answer is "no."

I really like Nonito, but this is a little over the top.

Donaire definitely is a talent, but his opposition at 122, seems kind of lackluster. He hasn't made the type of statements, to compare himself. Fighting old guys about to retire(Sydorenko, Nishioka), limited and unskilled boxers(Vazquez Jr, Mathebula), and midgets fighting well above their best weights(Montiel, Narvaez) just doesn't cut it. Especially when he repeatedly avoids the best opposition two weight classes in a row. There are too many opponents, sitting around, who are better, than 36 year old Nishioka, Mathebula etc. Moreno, Mares, Rigondeaux, Agbeko are all still prime, or good fighting shape as far as ability. Yet he is now looking at Arce, who is more garbage. What a joke.
