He's not ducking yet. He's facing Nishioka as planned.

Now if he faces a janitor instead of facing Rigo then he is ducking.

rigo don't pose any threat to donaire at this time...none.

donaire would sit back, play it cautious, do that timing and distance thing and would win it easy with a boring ud...unless rigo takes the fight, initiates the action, then he would gktfo.

ducking may be going too far, but I think he's afraid to fight him at least.

Well it was cool for Ward to duck the hell out of Lu Bute by telling Bute to "beat someone first" instead of unifying the division, so Donaire should get a pass since he wants Rigo to beat someone first. :good

Yeah, I also remember that line "no fighter is afraid to fight another fighter" but then again, maybe it's only for special cases like.. you know.

difference here is that you got the feeling Ward was going to fight Bute eventually. It doesn't seem like Donaire wants Rigo at all. PERIOD.

What has Rigo done y'all? wake me up when he fight someone real. Reminds me of a prospect fighting bums padding up their record y'all.

Hopefully Rigo steps up and does something worth while though. Stopping bums and barely beating Cordoba certainly isn't going to land him in the big time.

good point, it just feels different though. Donaire is planning to move up and just avoid the Rigo fight all together. Ward just wanted Bute to fight somebody worth a damn since he didnt participate in the super six.

We'll see what happens. There is no reason Rigo can't move up to 126 either if he is having THAT hard of a time landing fights at 122.

Martinez did it and he ended up being the champ at 160.

One thing I noticed, most Rigondeaux haters are Mexicans and Pinoys, I wonder why? Just like Lara and Gamboa's haters.
