before making this thread i had thought to compare them (donaire-perez), but then decided that donaire would like to take agbeko for unification!

Donaire is on another level than anyone else at 118. But I already thought that before last night.

I like Agbeko in this fight. It is a good style matchup IMO for him. Sure Donaire is fast and hits hard, but he also RELYS TOTALLY ON HIS LEGS FOR DEFENSE.

He doesn't move his head before or after he punches, totally relys reflexes, and has No real inside game to speak of.

I think Agbeko's head movement, punches in bunches, and from all angles, excellent stamina, and more than solid chin will serve him well in this fight.

I have Agbeko by split decision, and him earning a possible knockdown in the fight that seals the victory for him.

No. What a stupid post. Agbeko isnt anything special. He didnt make an easy work of Darchinyan for God's sake

To be fair, only 3 fighters have beaten Darchinyan. We know what Donaire did to him. We know Mares struggled with him. I thought Agbeko beat Darchinyan pretty convincingly(therefore out of the 3 people who beat Darchinyan he had the 2nd easiest go of it).

But like I said earlier in the thread, I would expect Donaire to take Agbeko out.

Donaire has something special in that counter left hook; combined that with his speed reflexes, boxing ability, size (118lb) and ring IQ it would be too much for Abeko.

Mares-Agbeko should be a good fight. It will be easier to judge Donaire vs the winner afterward.
