I don't want to see Arce take the kind of punishment he will take against Donaire in a non-competitive fight. I understand that Arce gave Vasquez all he could handle and took his 0, but styles make fights. Arce probably should retire. He gave fans everything for years, and he doesn't deserve to take anymore punishment. While, I would like to see Rigo vs Donaire as much as anybody I guess I understand where Donaire may be coming from in regards to that fight. Rigo is taking the easy route. He's not fighting anybody, and Donaire is fight only the best. With that said, make Donaire vs Mares. Hopefully Rigo will take a tough opponent, perhaps Darchinyan or Agbeko or even Moreno who may beat both Donaire and Rigo.
Arce has had a lot of televised fights but he makes very little money for all those wars. I'd like to see him fight Donaire to make a couple hundred thousand. And at the very least he'd provide an honorable, entertaining fight.
Big name fight, Arce will bring more dollars + a fight Vs. Jorge is guaranteed to bring fireworks. Arce is defo passed it but this is what Donaire needs right now an exciting KO win. Obviously Arum see's Arce as a perfect opponent for Donaire to get his vicious rep back. I won't hate on it I understand the biz aspect of this fight.
