It looks like Bob Arum wants to make Donaire vs Darchinyan 2 sometime in November on HBO. I don't like this fight because I believe Donaire will dominate him and it wont be competitive. I like Darchinyan but he is not slick at all and will most likely get knocked out early.
This is a pointless rematch. It seems like Arum wants to get Donaire back on track with a highlight reel knockout and HBO is on board. Arum blasts Haymon for putting his fighters in against overmatched opponents and then he does this.
Why can't Nonaire move up in weight and stop fighting midgets? Hopefully Darchi still has it in him and rocks Runito.
Pretty pointless. I won't say a win means nothing like some will, but there really is no need for it.
It's pretty sad how badly Rigo took Donaire's confidence away. This is how Donaire react's to losing by taking on a guy WAY past his prime? Why not fight Mares? Donaire is another Arum hype job.
Typical high quality stuff from Top Rank. I really hope HBO thinks this makes for a worthwhile WCB main event.
I have no interest in this fight. A less than 20 fight Donaire ko'ed a prime Darchiniyan now its a prime Donaire against a faded Darchinyan. Darchinyan has almost no chance and the best he can hope for is to try and last longer than the last time before getting ko'ed. This and the Cotto-Rodriguez fights are 2 pretty disappointing main events for HBO, not too mention some of the weak undercard fights on the upcoming Top Rank ppvs. HBO really needs to back off of the no GBP cards if they are going to shove a lot of these weak Top Rank fights at us. Put on all promoters, including GBP, and force them to put up quality fights if they want HBO money.
