It's one of my dream fights. Shame it involves two of my favourite fighters though, I would have no idea who to root for if it did come off.

The ring generalship of donaire is above and beyond most fighters, second only to mayweather at this point. Unfortunately they probably will never fight unless gamboa stays at 126 for the next 2 or 3 years. He is the smartest boxer in the lower weight classes, he is a counterpuncher who can figure out his opponents in 2 or 3 rounds. he is extremely fast and he can pop with his punches, you combine this with his defense and ring generalship and I don'ts see Rigondeaux or gamboa coming close to this kid.

Love to see it, though the prospects of such a fight are far too premature. Donaire may very well be favored against any 122 lber, and perhaps fancied over many 126 lbers, but the fact still remains that he's a bantam weight who is unproven against the bigger guys. That said, if Top Rank announced tomorrow that this fight is a go for later this year, it would undoubtedly get hyped as one of the best fights in boxing, no doubt.

um, gomboa is the favorite. More people pick him over Donaire atm. And using the argument that no one has dominated Donaire...Well you can say the same thing about Gamboa

how someone can believe donaire can beat a huge featherweight when he hasnt being completely proved as a bantamweight...i say let him see against Rigondeaux first. Then i'll tell u how he handles gamboa.

Donaire has been picking on guys he towers over his whole career, he should man up and go to featherweight where he'd still be one of the biggest dudes in the division and tower over 95 percent of feathers

You're obviously a BIG Donaire fan , that's why you're incapable of seeing the truth . Hope it happens ( Donaire/Rigo or Gamboa ) so you can wake up . Peace .
