About 4 years ago I would have been as excited about this as any possible match. Now? Meh.

Terrazas would have been a better opponent, but of course, Mijares is definitely the bigger name.

Agreed. And I consider myself to be a Donaire fan.

If held in SoCal, there could be a nice atmosphere for the fight.

Even at this stage I wouldn't really have that big a problem with this fight...it's just by the time this fight rolls around it's pushing 6 months between innings for Nonito...and I'm guessing it will be about that till his next fight..which I'm betting they are going to drag Arce out for.

So basically we can forget about Rigo, Nishioka or even JuanMa-Salido winner for a while.

I still like to see this one, though I am not sure if Mijares is still the same or has already lost his mojo.

Mijares has problem with awkward fighters (Darchinyan) but he controlled the aggressive ones. Should be a better fight than Arce-Donaire.

I'm a little disappointed. I would've preferred Nishioka, Arce or Rigo. Oh well, hopefully it's just a tune-up and a better match be made next. Money-wise it was a smart decision though.

    BS fight, plain and simple.

Mijares was in his prime a few years back, but has clearly lost a step or two.

Donaire beating him proves absolutely nothing.
