Even in his ¨prime¨ Mijares was an overrated piece of slag

This is a travesty of a match, to call it a mismatch would be an insult to mismatches

Im gonna be very dissapointed in Nonito if this' true

I'll be honest here: I enjoyed watching Mijares in his better days more than I do watching Donaire right now. That isn't to say he was a better or more effective fighter (I don't think he was due to Donaire's physical advantages and awesome athletic ability), but Mijares did have some pretty cool subtle skills.

Donaire's going to take this fight and probably get the job done well inside the distance.

I rather see him go Asian and knock the crap out of Chris John

This fight doesn't make sense... stupid Top Rank... it should have been Arce and then Niskioka...... and then maybe Terrezas and then Rigo.... in fact, there are too many decent names for Donaire to fight (Mares, Agbeko, John, Salido, Lopez, Darchinyan 2)... smh

Mijares was a good fighter 4 or 5 years ago, but he's completely shot now.

No need for this fight. Donaire should be fighting someone better like Rigondeaux.

how about mijares being on a winning streak since his loses and winning a championship? doesn't that count for something..i mean at least he's not coming off a loss
