The Maldonado fight is NOT EVEN A GOOD FIGHT TO GO BY!

Donaire went in there with ONE INTENTION!

To KNOCK HIM OUT BEFORE VIC DID!

Therefore he took more risks, and relied too much on his hooks, rather than his jab to set up his KILLER right hand.

And he STILL BEAT THE **** out of Maldanodo!

I don't even think it's his best punch or at least not his hardest.

Pavlik is a little more technically sound than Taylor, but Taylor was more athletic with fewer fights. We saw how that went.

    Doesn't always work like that.

Mijares IS NOT a stepping stone for Donaire

It's kind of unfair to bring this thread back up after Mijares takes a beating, but how do you guys see this fight panning out now? Donaire has been inactive and got hurt again in his last fight, Mijares got the Gatti treatment against Darchinyan.

    Agree!

On top of that Mijares was schooled by Vic
    Vic was KO'd by Donaire

Donaire will have an easier time with Mijares than Donaire doing a repeat on Vic. Though I believe Donaire vs Vic II will be a much closer fight than their first fight.

Let's first see how Mijares rebounds from this loss.

If MiJARES losses again to Vic and gets a "L" also after fighting Donaire then he is nothing but a HYPE.

Meantime, I still have high regards with Mijares :good

How is it unfair? We already know his skills. We've seen him pre Darchinyan.
    same with Donaire...

Donaire adjusts to his opponents better than Mijares (conventional or unorthodox). He's got the stronger punch, their speed is almost the same, Built is also the same. KO % goes to Nonito.

    Nonito SD/ late rd KO

Nonito's speed is way ahead of Mijares...miles ahead..not even worth comparing...some in Donaires camp have actually stated that his handspeed is equal that of Pacs

Mijares cant even match Vics handspeed..the same Vic that was beaten to the punch by about 2 seconds everytime against Donaire.

I really do hope this fight gets made...highly unlikely now
