Donaire vs Montiel might be the type of fight that people find boring.

Donaire has that style where he likes to work off of his opponent's punches, even though he can he generally doesn't really like to get off first. And Montiel is extremely patient. He is not the kind of fighter who will expose himself to land a punch. He can wait and wait and wait until the time is right.

I think the chess game will be very interesting, but I hope people aren't expecting a blood and guts type of battle.

Very Possible, Wouldn't want that to happen because of all the hype. But I wouldn't be surprised if that happens, It'll happen because (in my opinion) Montiel would have too much respect on Donaire's counter punching ability and may do something that would make the fight boring on a casual boxing fan's perspective.

would be pretty technical on the first few rds... once they test each others powers, they'd be engaging by rd 4...this one ends in a KO.

    Nope, I dont see it.

I expect Montiel to make it exciting from the beginning. Ever since that travesty of a fight with Johnny Gonzalez years ago it has cost him a lucrative career with HBO because the fight was too techinical. Both fighters were trying just not to lose instead of trying to win and Montiel has regretted it since.

The only way this fight gets boring is if Donaire makes it a hugfest after feeling Montiel's power.

have you seen Montiel vs Hasegawa? Very tactical fight even though it ended in a 4th round KO. Until the KO, it was basically a chess match.

    No way man.

I just checked the odds again. When you have every possible outcome paying at least even money you know you are getting a hell of a fight. This fight i literally can not decide on. Im ****ing torn and i dont know who to bet on or how it will end.

****!!! I am so excited for this fight. I will be on the edge of my seat for both fights.

This fight will mean big things for Montiel finally though. He was black listed after his last performance on HBO. The Hasegawa fight was not on HBO. Everyone knows you make it big when you put a hell of a fight on HBO.

I know you are a betting man. Who you putting your money on tonight?

I don“t think so......Montiel is not a hard target to find , and with power in both hands.....so, he will be a danger until the end....I can see both fighters being hit tonight.....

I have 600$ on Donaire outright at 2/5 with a backup of 45$ on Montiel by KO rounds 1-3 at 14/1 and 60$ on Montiel by KO rounds 4-6 at 11/1.

Ill have to rewatch it before tonight's fight but from what I remember it was a chess match for like a round or 2 then Montiel kind of conceded to the fact that he cannot win a decision against Hasa and was waiting for that one big punch instead.
