I'd prefer he fought Rigondeaux to be perfectly honest but Nish is the most accomplished at 122 now so it's a good fight. It would still be a one sided fight in favour of Donaire I think. Rigo is the only challenge for Donaire at 122.

i'll say it again for those that are hard of hearing or are just blatant fan boys with no regard for accomplishments: RIGONDEAUX HAS DONE NOTHING TO DESERVE A FIGHT WITH DONAIRE!! Nishioka is well accomplished as well as the #1 ranked contender. If donaire fights vasquez then arce then nishioka, he will undoubtedly be the man at 122. If somehow rigondeaux works his way up and actually fights instead of fighting once a year then maybe he could get a shot.

Nishioka I think might of escaped with a win over Rafa Marquez who surprisingly still has some gas in the tank. Nonito kinda answered my question on how he'd do with a technical fighter as opposed to a puncher and he did struggle abit with Narvaez a much smaller fighter. Nishioka has a style similar tho not as reckless as Darchinyan, but he is a bigger fighter, another question mark I have on how Donaire would handle a similar sized or larger fighter. With the recent rumors of him busting a 140lb contender it doesn't suprise me. Still, Nonito should still be testing the waters a fight with Nishioka or even Rafa Marquez would be interesting.

donaire didn't struggle over a technical fighter, narvaez refused to throw punches at all, he came to survive that's it. Anyone as skilled as Narvaez and who has been in the game so long can easily survive if he wants too.

What makes you think Donaire will beat Vazquez?

man, Rigo gives you the creeps...if Rigo beats ramos next week he is gonna be a legit belt holder.Rigo's reputation goes beyond anybody else in boxing amateurs and being a champ with 8 fights with all those expectaculars body punchs and the destruction of casey in 1 rd gives him enough credentials to fight anybody in the sport. You know it very well but like Arum, it makes u nervous the fact of seen nonito with rigo in the ring.
I dont see anybody else who knows and enjoy boxing opposing to this fight.
but first ! they have to go through Ramos and Vazquez, keep it in mind.
Rigo fought once a year- its true, but nonito fought once twice-the last one not exactly an espectacular win.

you just don't get it do you....I prefer fighters that actually have accomplishments and try to fight, these guys deserve title shots. Had rigondeaux been fighting for the past two years and done well I would be clamoring for a matchup. I only want to see the best fight the best. Being that he hasn't fought.....he doesn't deserve the fight whats so hard to see about that?

donaire is a 3 division title holder, he fought twice this year and would have fought 3 times except for promotional issues. beating ramos is a good step in the right direction but it doesnt automatically earn you a shot at donaire when you have only fought 9 times. being an amateur champion has nothing to do with the pros. Plenty of amateur cuban champions that aren't doing so hot.
