Nope, I'm Ok Donaire won, but it seemed like a huge mismatch in size.

It was a good win, but Pernell Whitaker Sydorenko ain't.

I don't put as much credence on a victory over a guy who has no punch to help them out. Sydorenko has one plan, out box.. but his pitter-pat shots had no chance of even giving Donaire an ounce of doubt, especially given the first KD. At that point it was rudimentary with what the outcome would be.

As soon as the doubt was there, Sydorenko basically gave up hope. Donaire did his thing busting him up and stopping him, but Sydorenko's only hope was to keep Donaire at bay from distance and he got caught being the attacker.. a poor choice.

On paper, a great win. As far as really showing where Donaire is P4P, it didn't prove anything to me.

His win over Vic was considerably more impressive. He's in a great position to dominant his division though, because out side Montiel and Vic there's no really strong punchers.

How about this...Sydorenko has being a career bantam whilst this was Donaire's first fight at the weight.

This is the first time Donaire's put everything together in a long time. After Vic he hasn't really put in a performance that makes you go "Wow! This guy's special" but he did just that last weekend.

Nobody disputes that fact, but if you saw the fight then you know Donaire looked extremely bigger in the ring.. not just slightly, but extremely.

Donaire looked like a beast in there but it's worth remembering that Sydorenko had lost 2 of his previous 3 fights.

It was a step in the right direction for Donaire though. It was a tremendous beating of the best fighter he's faced in some time.

Sidorenko had been in close fights with top bantamweights including; Anselmo Moreno, Ricardo Cordoba, and Poonsawat K, losing only 2 of these fights. Sidorenko had proven himself to be a top bantamweight, who took every fight he was in right down to the wire, and proved a difficult task for anybody. Most thought Donaire would have a similarly difficult time against him. But Donaire showed why he was a step above Sidorenko, it was a mismatch, Sidorenko to a bad beating nad had nothing left after 4 rounds. Remember that Sidorenko beat an undefeated Poonsawat, and drew with Cordoba twice, he was a top bantam, but it turned out Donaire was in another league. A top win for Nonito, and if he is beating guy's like Sidorenko is tunes up, there is certainly more good stuff to come.

Donaire has the potential to be a great . the potential is there. but I will say this. this fight isnt that telling to me. Sydorenko isnt exactly the best of the best but he beat him handedly. So im sure there is much more of his greatness for flash to show. On top of that he is a real chill cat. My boy illmind(a producer and also a phillipino) is workin on his intro theme music haha so I was able to talk to him and chill with him. nice guy all around and lord knows he can hit.

I'm glad you made this thread Boxed Ears because I feel the same exact way. I am really surprised that there are not a lot of people surprised about this win. Sidorenko was a proven A class fighter who was never been decisively beaten, despite his close losses to Anselmo Moreno, who many believe to be one of the best Bantamweights in the world. The way Donaire just toyed with and viciously beat a top tier fighter like that should be outstanding. I guess 'the fans' can never be happy.
