Looks like Donaire is going to face WBA featherweight champ Simpiwe Vetyeka in Macau in either late April or early May.
His last fight or two seems to give that impression. Maybe not done but his best could be behind him, he didn't exactly have a great 2013. Also looks like Nicholas Walters will defend his belt against Alejandro Perez on the undercard with the plan being to make Donaire-Walters in a unification fight later this year(if they both win).
Good ****. About it's about time.Donaire ducks nobody. But i forsee a difficult assignment. Hope they do their home work and study hard. This is a tough fight.I mean he could of gone the soft route like Salido, Juan Ma, Burgos,Martinez etc. But the kid from Africa is a monter.
Donaire missed up not taking Chris John when he had a Chance :-( Still Vetyeka is a good name, hopefully Donaire is ready for a full fledged Featherweight otherwise he will be in big touble :!:
wont ever be able to respect him as a top fighter until he faces off against rigo again. he knows what to expect now and should be going directly after him once this confidence builder in behind him.. ya he lost, so what. he caught him in round 10 so he knows he can catch him again.. he didnt truly hurt him but i think he knows like us that he is more than capable of taking him out. when you talk all that sh!t bout someone you best try backing it up. i knew flash was easily the most talented phil out there but that fight hurt him bad. its time to give it another go. even if you have to give up a 90/10 split, dont matter get back in there with him dude
he got that knock down by cheating. he used his elbow to prop rigondeaux up. (see 1:46 of video below) rigondeaux popped right back up and took the fight to donaire and had him running by the end of the round. i seriously doubt rigondeaux lets that happen again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6ZIqQwlFWk
