Donaire wins clearly, but was getting punked by that jab all night

    :good good stuff, this fight will be interesting. I think Rigo's footwork is more efficient than Donaire's also

    That's a good counter, but Donaire would still have a handful of options to sweep the hook, or slip after it or even try for a 2nd counter shot with his free hand imo

    when the exchange is already in motion Donaire seems to do fine but in this fight he seemed to be looking a lot (past the jab) which made him vulnerable to it and could spell trouble if Rigo speeds up that left hand lead since Rigo tends to load up a little on it before throwing

    Nah I think he'd get credit but doing squats in the middle of the ring was kind of unnecessary and got nothing on those bhop pushups

    Oh and I'd like to add that Rigo would need to be careful throwing his straight left to the body. he doesn't always keep his right hand up and overextends on it at times. Donaire can counter him with his hook similar to Judah did when he "knocked down" Mayweather

    Depends on how he uses his jab though. If he's using it to bait the hook then I don't believe he will get caught, but like you said he often uses it to "buffer" his way into the body shot but tends to leave it low. luckily not many are able to utilize that window of opportunity

    You make a good point, but what I actually meant was if Donaire was black, Merchant would've been crucified if he referred to Donaire's showboating as "feinting like a ******."
