Donald Cerrone vs. Yancy Medeiros & Derrick Lewis vs. Marcin Tybura RBR

This fight has a weird Barry/Crocop feel.

Medeiros is shooting low straight punches, Cerrone picking them off with his fists over his crotch. Front kicks traded, blocked. Medeiros down, stumble. Classy move from Cerrone, acknowledging it wasn't a knockdown for the benefit of the ref and crowd. Medeiros is jabbing his way in, takes a knee on the chest. Spinning heel kick attempt by Medeiros, grabbed and repelled. Left hand lead on the belly from Medeiros. Tie up against the cage. Cerrone is cut on the upper scalp, Medeiros on the eye. Nice 1-2 by Cerrone on the chin. Another. Medeiros wobbly. They trade at the clap. Medeiros hurt and dropped!

KO1!!

 

Cowboy now enters a three way tie with Bisping and GSP for most victories in the UFC (20).

Cerrone vs. Bisping, 5 rounds @ welterweight (or rather, more realistically, a 177lb catchweight) for the all-time UFC wins record?

 

I mean, yeah, on the one hand a natural lightweight vs. a natural light heavy sounds a little ridiculous but they are presently campaigning just one division apart. Both are 6'1". I don't' think it would be a mismatch, tbh.

...and the personalities are polar opposites. Trash-talk and build-up would be epic.

 

Speaking of matching records.. that lunk Derrick Lewis has apparently tied Arlovski for 2nd-most knockouts in HW UFC history. That's sad. I mean, even a prime Arlovski might be KTFO by this fat technically amateurish loudmouthed idiot (poor Vampiro had a truly awful chin ) but he deserves better than having to share a pedestal, even if just over a trivial statistic that means far less for legacy than championships, with this goon.

 

I have no idea who Blaydes is but Werdum and Overeem (who isn't half the glass cannon Arlovski was) if they're even half as good as I remember them destroy that vile Texan sack of ****. Pretty much everybody that has stopped 'Reem has been not only a hard puncher but elite (and Lewis couldn't be further away from that description)

 

Where Ronda Rouseys fine ass at, preferred that post fight speech.

Ahh. This guy seems like he wants to be full of crowd-pleasing bound-to-go-viral sound-bytes, except he just isn't witty or charming enough to pull it off.
