I hate when they announce guys as boxers when in reality their records were 0-1...

Like, this isn't 1997. Everybody is cross-trained in hybridized MMA. Nobody is competing in the octagon with just (or even primarily) boxing as their base discipline without spending as much time or more training in other areas for a well-rounded cage game. You have the random guys like Machida taking pride in being karatekas and incorporating that background heavily into their style, fine, but a guy that dabbled in pro boxing and fought ONCE shouldn't be introduced with "He's a boxer..."

Just IMO.

Especially because when those guys lose it just gives ammo to all the "MMA is better!!" meatheads to be like "see? Boxing is WEAK!"

Oh, dope, the UFC put Faber in their HOF? That's pretty classy of them, actually - IIRC he wasn't as successful under their banner as in his WEC heyday (the acquisition was around when I stopped watching MMA so much...and was in fact a component of why)
