    His nickname The Lone Star Cobra really did suit his style. Fast reflex and striking like a cobra. It’s a shame how quickly he burned out but no denying that he was a great talent who was near perfect for a spell.

    He ( Curry ) was a fantastic talent. One of the best I've seen as far as technical mastery go.
    He was a lot like Joe Louis or Alexis Arguello where every punch was delivered with almost textbook precision ,
    But he had better mobility than those two greats.
    A shame his career seemed to flame out so early.

    was nice to see 3 good friends of mine from FT Worth TX LOOKING MUCH YOUNGER
    The late great Dave Gorman, Donald Curry & trainer Paul Reyes. Spent many happy hours there
