Same thing with Hearns. Tito would be too slow of a starter for The Cobra. The fight would last 2-3 rounds at the most. Once Curry had you hurt, you were almost assuredly finished, except of your name was McCallum.

Trinidad was bigger and stronger. And dangerous when hurt. Curry would hurt Trinidad and probably drop him.

But Trinidad would survive and starch Curry like McCallum did.

In his prime, Trinidad was a master of coming back from getting knocked down and so it would happen in this fight.

I wouldn't say that Curry wasn't very durable. He took his licks. The McCallum fight could have happened to anybody, but where can you say he wasn't durable?

I think you need to see more Curry fights. Curry was a monster at Welterweight and would have blow Tito out.

It is certainly possible. But Trinidad by stoppage is equally likely.

Curry was the bomb but I actually lean towards Tito more often then not.

They could fight 10 times with vastly different outcomes...it might start off with Curry schooling Tito and even getting a decisive stoppage victory but I think Donald lacked a few things that Trinindad would have taken advantage of. I see Tito getting the KO win or Reid like beatdown decision win 6 times out of those 10 fights.

I think Don's durability wasnt the best...though the Honeyghan fight isnt the best indicator of how an absolute peak Curry unaffected by weight would have taken a shot. And I think he tended to stand his ground when he really shouldnt of..maybe it was some sense of bravado but for a guy so technically superb he spent a bit to much time in punching range for me.
Those two things are going to hurt you down the road against Tito..he really had fight changing power.

he was a master at coming back when hurt because he punched you in your nuts to give himself time to recover

The Honeygunn fight was an abbaration, and he took loads of punishment for 6 rounds before he quit. He clearly wasn't in good shape for that fight.
He was pretty much done after the McCallum loss. Up until then. he was a great fighter. He just faded fast. I think Tito had more durability issues than Curry. He was shaken(not stirred) by lots of fighters.
