I was never a fan of Pea's at welterweight. I never felt it was a proper division for him. A great lightweight who was an OK welter. On the other hand, I was always impressed with Curry at welter and I believe his sharp, pinpoint shots would actually stop Pea late in the fight.

I'll give Pea the benefit of the doubt saying makes it to the Final bell. He would be battered a bit by the Cobra. P4P he probably beats Curry but at Welterweight

Same with Manny. No 5'5" guy looks natural at 147.

I think Donald wins by TKO in the 11h. He steps it up around the 8th and really dominates.

    Whitaker.

I’m a massive Curry fan. As technically and fundamentally sound as he was, just too rigid and readable for Whitaker. Curry was too precise and measured for Whitaker’s style.

I think Whitaker is too nimble and would outbox Curry. Even at 147 where Whitaker declined a bit compared to his days at 135.

I'll take prime Donald Curry by decision without hesitation. His rigid style may look like someone that Whitaker could easily outbox but Curry was someone who was the bigger fighter with very fast hands and footwork, explosive power, and a very sharp counter puncher that will make Whitaker tentative. Also doesn't help that Whitaker didn't have the punching power, size, or rough style to trouble Curry.

I'm quite surprised at all the picks for Curry to be quite honest especially some picking Curry by stoppage seriously ? Whitaker was past his prime vs Tito and had his jaw broken and he never came close to being stopped, yet I'm supposed to believe Curry is going to stop the best version of Whitaker at Welterweight ? You're having a laugh.

Curry was good but I don't think he was "that good" to beat someone like Whitaker.

Curry's issue is he never moves his head, he's not that mobile, and he's too measured and not versatile enough.

Whitaker is alot more versatile than Curry with his offence and has a superior jab aswell.

I'm going with Whitaker in a close decision.
