I like Curry a lot, and I could imagine him winning, but Hearns is hard to pick against here. Too fast, too mobile, too versatile. Hearns takes a decision.
I'll still go with Curry of '85 over the '81 Hearns at 147 pounds... Its close, but Curry gets him pretty much the way Ray Leonard did.... At 154, its all Hearns to the maxi-pad.... WORD! MR.BILLbbb:rasta
This one is a tossup. Hearns with his range can make Curry suffer the same fate as Cuevas and Duran, but if the "Lone Star Cobra" catches the Motor City Cobra flush on the chin...
Hearns. Either by UD or late rounds knockout. Curry would be a problem for the Hitman during the early stages.
Tommy by mid round stoppage, although it could turn into a counterpunching fight which goes the distance. Either way Tommy.
Curry was intending to move up from welterweight to take on Hearns and Hagler. Then Lloyd Honeyghan got in the way.
Hearns was on a slightly different level than Curry. If Jun-Sok Hwang put him down, than Tommy puts him out in three rounds.
Curry had an awesome skillset but I think stylistically he would stay too close to Hearns' punching range. Curry is very capable of hurting Hearns as well with left hook counters...tough to call but would lean towards Hearns.
Hearns easilly this isnt a good matchup for Curry stylistically,The Cobra would learn very quickly that this isnt McCroy...lol
