How much of this size difference matters..They both had great jabs and niether fighter was afraid to bang it out at any point..

Curry was one of my favourite fighters! I loved his style and his performances against Jones and McCrory (?) were awesome!! Sadly, his prime was short lived and his decline was rapid. How he'd had done against the best WW's ever, such as Hearns, is debatable but he was a machine in his day! You'd probably have to favour Hearns I suppose but he would had to have been at his best. . .and careful!!!

Sounds good to me. Curry was good.....very good. But I don't quite put him in the class of the really great welters such as Robinson,Leonard and Hearns.

I see Tommy and Donald getting into a jabbing contest in ring center and trying to pick their shots with Donald being swelled up, similar to the McCallum fight but Tommy's jab would be dominating the rounds where Donald was faster than Mike. And Tommy would get a TKO in about 8 . It would not be easy for Thomas Hearns at all ,but he would win.

A prime Don Curry wouldn't be getting KO'd by Hearns IMO. He may lose a razor thin decision (or stop Hearns in the championship rounds...remember this is a 15 rounder)

There's a it too much emphasis placed in Curry's career post Honeyghan these days, when he slipped a hell of a long way in a relatively short space of time. In his prime he was a monster and was being lined up to fight Hagler, such was the regard that most people had for his abilities

A great technical battle and a great battle of the jabs, skillwise its close but Hearns great physical attributes would be the difference in this, he stops Curry in nine in a good fight.

Luis Manuel Rodriguez and Kid Gavilan would both disagree IMO.

I disagree. Sugar Shane Mosley isn't beating up Tommy. Or Sugar Ramos for that matter? SNV on the other hand...

I don't think Curry can beat Hearns boxing, and I don't think he can stalk and get inside on Hearns either.

UD15 Hearns, probably with 1 or 2 KDs scored over Curry
