Donald Curry Vs. Tommy Hearns at WW in there primes??

Donald would not give Tommy problems for the simple fact that he had some problems taking a punch.The Curry chin would hurt him as the fight progressed.Tommy might lose a couple of rounds early, but around the seventh, he would really land the thunder, and Donald would be out on his ass for the full ten count.

 

The money should be on Hearns, but either could hurt the other. I could see a left hook like the one that ruined McCrory landing and having similar effect on Hearns.

I do think as the rounds progress, the gap will become wider and general control will be Hearns'.

Curry certainly knew how to slip and counter.

To answer Southpaw's obsession with them "banging it out", I think close quarters has to favor Curry. Fast hands and short punches on the inside. Hearns better not have the space to get set though.

 

And he'd end up getting stopped by all 4.

 

Curry was quicker and more accurate and fleet footed and would land shots on Tommy as Tommy awkwardly ducked around looking to land.

That being said, I think Tommy breaks him down and finished him late.

Ummmm..................... no. He wasn't.

 

Hearns KO but Don could beat some other great WW's on his day

 

Best way I can sum this fight up is...Hearns should....Curry could.
