Good post however what was Lara?

    SOUTHPAW!

Paul Williams because of his style, how he moves and bends to avoid punches is an othodox fighters nightmare...This is why Paul can fight "small" and on the inside. His defensive movements are actually extremely good and effective......against orthodox fighters.

Against a SOUTHPAW Paul fights the same damn way and gets owned. This is because he moves in the same damn direction, bends the same damn way, and develops the same damn rhythm. So instead of moving out of the way of punches that he naturally does well against any ORTHODOX fighter, he often times will bend or dip directly into a punch..

Go back and watch both fights with Martinez, Quintana 1 and the fight with Lara to see what I'm talking about....

In both Martinez 1 and Quintana 1, Both fighters found themselves tagging Williams at will with left hands with amazing ease and with serious effect. They made it look easy and that's because it was. Williams was lining it up for them.

While you're at it folks check out Williams-Margarito to further understand what I'm talking about. Yea, that was a peak, elite level Margo with handwraps getting ****ed by Paul Williams...That's when I became a fan of Williams. The man hasn't changed.

So in short summary this is why Canelo gets embarrased, and why I will surely be making some good money when this fight goes down.

    Again 41-0 vs. Orthodox fighters
Canelo will be embarrassed and people somehow will be shocked
I'll be shocked if Canelo wins more than 4 rounds.

    It's been emotional:hat

FOTY candidate. Easy. Say what you want about Paul's current condition but the guy comes to fight every night and won't lay down for no fighter. Props to Alvarez for finally facing a threat though I'm tempted to see his performance from Shane as both brought a war.

Excellent fight for both, and two fighters I like a lot. I'll be rooting for Williams though. I think he can pull the upset, and yes, i am calling Williams winning an upset. His best are long gone, but he's still a step up for the young red.

    Fat Dan :

So I guess that clears up whether or not it would be on PPV, though usually that date is generally reserved for a Boxing PPV, anyways.

Possible but I see a Williams by accumulation tko more likely. Tell you what I have been critical of Alvarez but I really like this fight. May even change to an Alvarez avy if I didn't like my avys so damn much lol.

PPV though? sigh. Wanna see it day of on HBO for free I think its asking a bit much for it to be a PPV but at least this fight will deliver.

True. Hopefully winner fights Lara and therefore everybody happy.

Great insight. I do question Canelo's stamina as well and P Will will not give him the breaks during rds that many of Canelo's opponents give him. Not a walkover for any man by any means. Prove me wrong.

Yeah, great points. P Will has lots of problems for Alvarez and this is a risky fight. Props to both men and I hope this fight doesn't get cancelled.

    :huh
    Long gone?
He got KTFO by Martinez(Best MW in the world, and Southpaw)
Then schooled against Lara(Young up and comer, avoided because of the Williams schooling, and Southpaw)

Not putting Ishida on some kind of pedastal but Williams whipped that ass something serious. Ishida has a proven chin and had he not had one he probably would have been KTFO.
But Ishida actually fought WELL and gave his best and did land some decent punches. Ishida will give any LMW problems and probably beat most of them.

Pauls performance against Ishida in my book was at least a B+,A-

That fact is PW isn't "long gone" he just fought 1 great and 1 very good Southpaw back to back. :deal

Very tough tough fight. If Alvarez wins, the (protective) **** talking about the kid stops here.
