Something tells me you feel differently about Berto vs. Zaveck, however.

The fact is that Narvaez is literally four times more proven as a world champion as your boy Berto, whose unworthy ass is about to main event HBO for the sixth consecutive undeserved time. Yet Narvaez - a better champion, taking on a much bigger challenge than Zaveck - isn't worthy. :think

Urango at welterweight isn't a great win. (nor was Forbes at welterweight, nor shopworn Quintana)

The Seda win is about par with Collazo.



Quality of reigns = tie.

Quantity of reigns = Narvaez, about 4x more defenses

Natural athletic talent = Berto, by a little

Skill/boxing brains = Narvaez, by a LOT

 

so does narvaez get a worse beating then sideronko(sp) oh and i expect berto to be a two time "champ":tired by the end of the year

 

Narvaez is a better boxer than Sidorenko and will handle himself much better against Donaire.

I'd be very surprised (and impressed) if he won, but he shouldn't get embarrassed. Way too slick for that.

Yup. Narvaez of three or four years ago would have given Donaire some problems and probably taken it to a decision, but these days he's a lot easier to hit.

Nice to see Narvaez leave his little protective shell after all these years. Too bad he never did it at flyweight. We'll never know whether he might have been pound for pound material.

It's actually an awesome styles match-up and should be greatly entertaining.

Donaire isn't a giant in comparison; he's got four inches on him. Narvaez usually gives up about three to four inches every time he successfully defends his title against top-rated super flyweights.

Narvaez is better thasn a "good" fighter.

If you think his age matters here, you must not have seen him in action lately. He is very much an exception to the rule about lighter divisions peaking and then sloping off earlier.

Natural featherweight? He might eventually wind up there but as of today Donaire has never competed above bantamweight (and he's only been there twice). He isn't some growing boy who's got all this filling out to do. He spent most of his career - literally over 90% of it - bouncing back and forth between the same two weights as Narvaez (fly and super fly)...and he'll be a couple of weeks from turning TWENTY NINE when he defends against Narvaez.
