Donnie LaLonde was a very good fighter in the LHW division. But against todays crop of champs id think he would be at least the number 2 guy behind kova, and in my honest opinion any fighter with skills and a set of ***** can beat any great fighter on any given night! Lalonde is one of those guys. Thoughts?
Yeah it was a top fight, the ending was class. Leonard opened up on him on the ropes, Lalonde tries to grab hold, Leonard takes a step back then BANG left hook, game over.

Lalonde would be a solid B level nowdays...... Nice fringe contender. He'd beat a shot Dawson, go toe to toe with Karpency. But....if he fought even someone like Sillakh.....he'd be brutally KOd.:think
I dont think too much should be made of the Leonard loss. Lalonde was allegedly drained for that. I think Lalonde would be top 10, possibly top 5
He aggravated Teddy Atlas to the point that Teddy considered murdering him. That's enough to make me a fan of his.
