I thought Ioka control the fight from the outside and deserve the decision more than Nietes, but it was very close so hard to complain.

He gassed pretty badly in the 11th and 12th... Judges just delaying the inevitable at this point.

I thought Ioka won, I tried being as unbiased as I can, but I think it's fair to say that you can't be completely unbiased when scoring a fight with your countryman in it. Especially when it's this close. Good technical fight. Looking forward to a rematch.

Tbh i prefer he just take a fight or two after this against a top dog and then retire. With his age i think he's done enough.

I thought he did good in the 12th. The last minute he was holding but he did enough to snag that round.

What are you on about? As someone who is half Japanese, I'm admitting that I probably had a bias when I was scoring the fight. In a close fight, most of the times you're going to favor your own countryman over the other. So my scorecard and who I thought won the fight should not hold that much weight.

Looking forward to @PinoyProdigy scorecard though since I think he's probably the best at scoring fights on here. Grats on your boy winning too, and happy new year to everyone.

In Japan it seems like the close rounds go to the away fighter. The opposite of everywhere else in the world

It's in Macao China. If it was in Japan Ioka would have won by UD. I saw the fight A DRAW.

Neither deserved the win. On to the next.
