A lot of east Asian fighters really have a hard time with eye swelling. It sucks because these guys are teak tough.

 

I did too but I wasn’t scoring too closely. Seems like we were off compared to the judges though, who had it 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 at the time of the stoppage.

Winner would be only the third person to win titles from strawweight to super flyweight ( the first two being Leo Gamez and Roman Gonzalez) So the winner definitely has a good chance to enter the HOF.

And person probably needs to change to man Naoko Fujioka did 105-118 and went down in weight for one of those...god what a fighter she is!

Tit for tat opening by both men, feeling each other out. Nietes was the more accurate puncher while Ioka was the more active fighter. Very close round.

Ioka was getting pounded on the inside with uppercuts and body shots... Then wisely started boxing from the outside (where he has an advantage) and may have taken R3.
