A lot of punches Ioka and Nietes are throwing aren't landing. Good defense by both.

Thing is Ioka is clearly throwing far more punches and initiating more, so those close rounds I gave Nietes could be seen as Ioka rounds to the judges. But on my card literally a back and forth with each fighter winning every other round.

That close huh. Its really gonna come down to what type of boxing the judges prefer to decide who will they give their scores.

 

I have Ioka pretty clearly ahead but can see how someone would have Nietes winning some of these rounds. They’re exchanging quite a bit back and forth and a lot of it is a matter of personal opinion as to who is landing the better punches

Anywhere in the range of 117-111 to 115-113 in favor of Ioka would be fine with me but I could maybe see a draw if one of the judges was feeling generous towards Nietes. Overall a very entertaining fight
