If he maintains a high enough ranking with the WBO, Fuentes might get another crack at Nietes despite getting dominated.

He shouldn't drop too far, being that he was named the interim champ between Nietes I & II. He could be a couple of wins away from an opportunity to notch things up 1-1-1. (although some Mexicans fans bitter over their draw last February - in which the Pinoy judge had the only card with Nietes ahead - would argue they should be currently tied at one apiece)

I would, however, expect nothing different from today in Nietes vs. Fuentes III unless Nietes was injured or Fuentes made some huge adjustments. Nietes seems to have used the first experience with him to figure Moi completely out.

I think he was more warily respectful of Fuentes then - not that he exactly stood and rumbled with him today (as that would have been stupid with the size disadvantage), but he was very confident executing his plan and seemed to be 'in his skin' and really owned the event.

Ioka now campaigns at flyweight and will almost certainly be chasing a rematch with Ruenroeng. I think Casimero has flown the coop, too.

As for Inoue - becoming champion so quickly is great and El Confesor is a wonderful scalp and everything, but he probably shouldn't be #1 just yet based on just that one accomplishment. Nietes has too much longevity with a fair amount of quality to ignore.

So actually I might even say Nietes is now #1.

If you kept Ioka and Casimero in the rankings it would be two Japanese and two Filipino boxers as the fluid top four, with ordering subject to debate.
