Ruddock was a heavy power puncher but inferior to 90' Douglas who had less tnt but knew how to stick and move behind a jab.

if he could go 12 with Tyson in a war then I think we need to be looking at whether Wilder is tough enough here

Wilder wins in a wild one.

Yes Wilder's resume has been padded but it was much better than Ruddocks.

Wilder holds all the aces here, height, length, power and slightly better skills.

I think Wilder does him early like Lennox Lewis did.

i know kimmuel odum is a stiff ....but go look at ruddock v odum on you tube and you tell me if wilder can take that right hand #1 over the top and then that upper cut ....and ruddocks reach is 82 ...some wwere in the fight wilder would get hit and just crash ....another guy past his prime tim witherspoon would farge up wilder bad

I think Wilder gets to Ruddock much quicker.

People seem to be saying "at some point RR will connect"....."Wilders chin won't hold up"....etc.

All the time ignoring the fact that Wilder has better wins, punches harder imo, technically better and it's RR not Wilder who has been KTFO and dropped multiple times.

Again I'm not a Wilder fan and Ruddock v Morrison and the 2 Tyson fights are better fights than anything Wilder has been in.

Dude, Lewis damn near killed him! You may have blocked it out, in which case I suggest you find it on Youtube. It wont take much of your time ;)

Well, to be fair Ruddock would have probably beaten Lewis in 89-90 and maybe 91. Lewis was very inexperienced as a pro then.

Maybe only but only marginally. But resume aside going toe-to-toe with a pre prison Tyson in two grueling wars counts more in a h2h sense than anything Wilder has done in his career. Wilder is rated higher all time but Ruddock is a better h2h fighter. Ruddock never winning a belt comes down to competing in a better era(where Wilder would have never tasted gold either) Ruddock would have beaten Stiverne and anyone else Wilder has stepped in with thus far. So his lack of accomplishments comparatively doesn't matter here when things are put into perspective. Don't agree at all with length, power and skill. Ruddock has freakishly long arms for his size for one(according to wiki his reach is the same as Wilder despite being 3-4 inches shorter) Both guys have great power but would would give Ruddock an edge in technique.
