Donovan ruddock v George foreman 1991 who wins ?

Foreman would have smacked the crap out of that Tucker imo. That guy was nothing compared to the dude who rocked prime Tyson. Tucker to me is actually more overrated than George ever could be, he just wasn't that good a fighter imo. He had great potential in the early days, pre-Tyson. He never really lived up to what he could have been, far from it.

I seriously doubt George was scared of him (I honestly don't believe he was scared of post-prison Tyson, either)...but I would believe he was avoiding Bowe and Lewis, and doubt he would have been particularly willing to fight Holyfield again.

 

Why did he sacrifice his title when he had to fight Tucker? What do you think the reasoning was?

It seems like every guy Forman had fought until that point in his comeback was chinny or lacking stamina, other than Holyfield who commanded money and the championship. Tucker had chin and stamina (and a jab), if nothing else.

 

Monetary negotiations. Look at how Tucker was fighting at that point in time...he wasn't threatening anyone by then.

That said, he just might have beaten George early in his comeback. right around the time Tony fought Iron Mike. Tony had the skills. The Tony that George ditched the title for was an empty shell by then.

 

Tucker lost to SELDON for Christ's sake. George would have slapped the crap out of Brucey-Bruce.

 

Foreman tried to take advantage of chinny fighters but it didn't often go as planned such as against Stewart and Morrison. It's a shame that Foreman fought them, otherwise you could claim that he'd easily knock them out. Seldon was a pure boxer unlike Morrison and Stewart and would either win wide against Foreman or get stopped. I'm not sure Foreman would be comfortable fighting him.

 

Tucker in no way fit the mold of a Foreman opponent. He was durable and a good boxer. What happened against Seldon was after the fact. After the boat was handed over. I dont think Foreman wanted to deal with that kind of style (given the question mark that Tucker may have had more left than he did).

He fought Schultz in a cherry pick to end all cherry picks and lost in most people's eyes. Schultz was fairly similar to a faded Tucker. Foreman elected to give up his last remaining belt rather than grant a rematch. I see a pattern.

Funny how Foreman's opponent list is scrutinized, but not Ruddock's. Look what he did and against whom, after the Lewis shellacking. And the guy had lost 3 consecutive fights.

Hardly a guy cleaning out the division trying to get back in contention.

So you are saying that Tucker was not worthy to fight Foreman because it would have been a foregone conclusion to "smack" him around......so instead of "smacking" him around he rather gave up his belt.......legal pot is definitely killing the few brain cells you actually ever possessed...............do you even read your own drivel.....a fighter rather loosing his belt then to fight "smackbum" old Tucker, a Tucker that was washed up, a ex coke addict and a shell of his former, yeah that Tucker who Foreman refused to fight.

As long as Boxing is a sport of skill Foreman is going to have a solid advantage. As long 2 hands are better than 1 Foreman is going to have the advantage. As long as the jab is a valuable weapon Foreman is going to have the edge. As long as taking a good punch and staying on your feet is better than going to the canvas everytime your touched than Foreman gonna have a stoppage victory. Razor may get up smiling a couple of times but it will go away. The referee might get tired of counting.
