So we've come to the conclusion post-asthma pre-Tyson Ruddock would beat every HW barring Mike himself.....

Hey folks, long time no see.

Lets view this from a rational perspective. What can we say?

    1) Foreman had a solid chin. Its very unlikely he gets stopped in here. Nevertheless, this might depend on his opponents giving him too much respect
    2) Ruddock went 7 and 12 with Tyson, with the 7 round stoppage beeing premature. Got up against a big puncher in Smith. He was there to get it on in 3 to 4 occasions with solid punchers.
    3) Foreman went 10 with Stewart, 8/10 with Coetzer, 12 with Morrison, 10 with Moorer and 12 with Schulz. About every one of them did not have the chin or recuperation after beeing hurt of a Ruddock.
    2) and 3) lead to the conclusion that its not very likely Ruddock getting out of there before 10 or 12.

This fight most likely would end in a decision. Ruddock didn´t give Tyson alot of respect, which is bad news for George imho. He would take too much punishment in contrast of gaining too little. I lead towards a Ruddock decision with Foreman face looking worse than the Stewart debacle.

Foreman fought extremely calculating in his comeback:

    1) He would not fight undefeated Morrison in 91 (no information about his toughness).
    2) He would not fight undefeated upcoming Mercer in 91 either.
    3) I don´t see him fighting a guy like Bruno too around that time.
    4) He would not fight upcoming Ruddock after the KO of Broad, Dokes, and slugging it out with Tyson.

He fought all of his "better" opposition after there was a save amount of information about them: Cooney having troubles with alcohol, Cooper stopped three times, Stewart fell to pieces against Tyson, Morrison getting hurt brutally against Mercer and down twice! against a past it Williams, Briggs getting hurt easily against Wilson. I´m pretty sure Foreman would never fight Briggs after the Lewis brawl. Nevertheless big credit to George fighting this guy to such a close loss at this age.
But its without a doubt for me that Foreman did not take big risks for nothing. He would not fight Tyson for no title and little money, but would imho meet him for big money and the titles, regardless of him telling today
"I didn´t want any part of Tyson" or
“For me he (Deontay WIlder) has to have a performance like Mike Tyson did over Trevor Berbick. Boy, when I saw that I was down visiting Vegas and I thought ‘this guy is a nightmare’."

maybe so, Lewis was no joke, he landed a beautiful fast strait hard right hand flush on Ruddock. I don’t see Foreman landing with that type of speed and precision. And even if he does I don’t see him finishing Razor as Lewis did. I don’t see Foreman’s clubs doing much more damage to Razor than Tyson’s did. And again I am of the opinion that the Razor that fought Lewis is NOT the same as the one prior to the Tyson fights.

I've always said his comeback was incredible. But you, for one, get irked when certain fighters get praise (Mike Tyson) and irked when your fighters get criticized (Holyfield, and in this case Foreman). And then you argue till the cows come home to get your points across, the same points, every time.

    It goes both ways dude.

The second Ruddock fight may've been Mike's most impressive win .. he fought a big, nasty punching fighter in his own prime ...

It really was a tough fight, more competitive than sycophants saw it at the time. Ruddock was a good foil for Mike as a puncher.

I get the feeling that Ruddock got SO up for that 2nd Tyson battle (as if it were a Championship Fight) that he left something of himself behind in it. I believe he would have done better against guys like Lewis and Morrison had he not taken that second fight. A bit like Bowe vs. Golota...except Bowe had already been champ twice before then.

Lennox was just a different match up but I agree you may have a point .. It also shows us just what a tough fighter Holyfield was ..

Tyson wanted no part of Foreman? Are yo Tyson fans so stupid to use that!Foreman is humble! He also said that he was scared of Frazier and Norton but he killed them!
    Tyson ducked Foreman!
Bobby Goodman stated that Tyson is scared of Foreman " He said, " Georgie,You'll never believe this but, ****in' Tyson is scared shitless of Foreman and wants no part of him. I was there when Don was trying to make the fight. He was telling Tyson that Foreman represented huge money, plus he was old and slow and would be no problem. Tyson got up and screamed at King saying, 'I'm not fightin' that ****in' animal, if you love the mother****er so much, you fight him!'" Goodman stated that Tyson said Foreman was much better than people thought, and was a dangerous fight for any of the top heavyweights
And about Ruddock...he was knocked by almost everyone!Morrison,Tillis,Lewis..
Ruddock is the most overrated guy in history. He built his name with 2 loses with tyson. He got destroyed by any prime puncher that he fought like morrison and lewis( i know i know the excuse will be that he was in his peak in 1991 and then he was shot in 1992. Laughable).
Until 1984 he weighed under 200 pounds even in the 180s . he not just lost to a bum like david jaco but he could not stop him in 8 rounds .
He won a ****PY SD AGAINST A 35 YEARS OLD WEAVER.
All he did was beating A SHOT MICHAEL DOKES( IN HIS PRIME WAS NOT A GREAT THING).
And Beating a fat 36 years old James smith Who was very very close to knock
Him the **** out. A prime smith destroys him no question about it.
Ruddock was nothing special. He is built up by Tyson fans to make it seem like Tyson beat somebody good in his prime. That being said he fought all heavyweights and I mean true heavyweights
He could not even KO china chinned Morrison but Tyson fans live in delusion that he would knock Iron chinned Foreman!
Rudccok as I said was knocked by light pucnhing 40 years old Tillis, and he could not beat Morrison!
    Imagine Foreman catching Ruddock!
It would be just like Foreman Cooney fight!

He lost with Tyson and Lewis. He would have lost with Foreman and Holyfield too.

I agree. The styles dont mesh well for Donovon. George was too crafty, too experienced.
Foreman will be looking for that left. Once he gauges them he is gonna pick Razor apart. The jab of Foreman would set the table.

This is an easy fight for Old George.

Yeah , he was so crafty and experienced that he got outboxed by Tommy Chin..........life and death with Stewart and Savereasy.....Schulz?....even better Grimsley ?......that some craftyness right there, I mean ALL those no hopers are way better than prime Ruddock.....the irony.......but the ultimate cake is that his craft and experience took a serious shake when he rather got stripped instead of facing the Ghost of Tony Tucker ............wait wait wait ran from the Schulz rematch too but Ruddock, yeah, merely a formality, a foregone conclusion........
