"Ladies and gentlemen, here at The Mirage, referee Richard Steele stops the fight, at 1 minute and 58 seconds of Round Number 7, your winner by way of a knockout, Donovan...Razor...Ruddockkk!!!"

Ruddock would try to hold Morrison off in a couple of barnburning rounds with his left hand but the PED's and the juice would tire Morrison. Ruddock, who was the tougher and more natural fighter would get Morrison on the ropes and end him similar to how he dispatched Dokes, and similar to how Mercer dispatched his adversary.

The best fight would be if Morrison from the Mercer fight and Ruddock from the Tyson fight met.. then I would bet on Ruddock. after those fights both lost something. It's a classic coin toss fight. 1992?. I think Morrison though.

Ruddock migh've won if the actual fight didn't have the nonsensical stoppage. I'd expect him to win in 92.

Same result if Tommy lands that hook the same way. And Donovan was there to be hit if you had the minerals and the constitution to stay in the pocket with him.

    I’ll go Tommy KO 4.

Had to go back and find it to refresh my memory, but on another boxing forum a couple years back, there was a thread titled: "Golden Boy" HBO Trailer. A poster who went by Ron Lipton (ref for Morrison-Ruddock) posted that he was proud to be a part of De La Hoya's MSG debut vs. Jesse James Leija. Another poster chimed in and criticized his stoppage of Morrison-Ruddock. This prompted a long, clearly pissed-off response from Lipton as to what he saw and why he stopped it. Lipton made as good a case as could be made I suppose, and all posters who commented on it (except the one) supported Lipton, but I agree with you that Ruddock may have come back and won that. Morrison didn't have the greatest gas tank, and it seemed Ruddock would have weathered Tommy's attack. A likely completely gassed Morrison may have had problems if that fight continued.

I'd say Ruddock by KO in 92 as well.

I’m well aware of Lipton’s nutty boxing forum and social media presence and how posters from a certain now dead forum would kiss his ass. He could’ve stopped it on the knockdown and that would’ve been fine. What he did was was stop it when Morrison was gassing out and unleashing a useless combo that didn’t actually land. And it’s not surprising that Lipton would have self serving narrative built around it.

Ruddock was far better. Tommy would've lost to a decent bit of Razor's scalps.

I'm going to take Tommy. I don't think he gets caught with the much vaunted smash and '92 is the year Ruddock's bubble got burst by Lennie the Lion. It's not inconceivable that Tommy could do the same...

Both were on the comeback trail in 1992.
I think Ruddock would have won by KO as he looked pretty good against Phil Jackson.
Not an easy fight for sure but Ruddock had better experience had the time.

1992 Tommy gets rid of him early on. Probably before the 3rd. Tommy was a good bit faster then and Ruddock would DEFINITELY try and “Hook with the Hooker” which would be his downfall. For some reason Ruddock really seemed to have a kinda dismissive attitude towards Tommy’s power. Lol REALLY stupid and would cost him even more in a ‘92 fight.

Ruddock doesn’t have the chin to stay upright in this one.
