Ruddock (slugger) vs Brewster (swarmer) Power: Ruddock Speed: Ruddock Chin: Brewster Footwork: Ruddock (won't matter) Stamina: Brewster Technique: Brewster Versatility: Brewster Timing: Ruddock Accuracy: Even Combinations: Brewster Heart: Even 5-2-4 slight edge to Brewster. This would be one hell of a fight. Ruddock would be attempting to line up his man with his sharp jab, then unleash hell with his pulverizing uppercuts and prefers mid range. Brewster would be trying to get close and rip away at the body, then go upstairs with his powerful combinations. Whoever dictates the pace and their preferred range has a distinct advantage and probably wins the fight. Verdict: Both guys had a tendency to neglect defense and were more than willing to trade or slug. On paper, this favors Ruddock whose slightly bigger and has a tad more punching power. The problem is Ruddock's endurance is worse and he often had poor balance. Ruddock was also much more 1-dimensional often favoring his left while Brewster threw combos with both hands to the head and body. What it boils down to is that unless Ruddock manages to KO Brewster within the first 5-7 rounds, his gas tank is going to deplete rapidly fighting at such a high volume and getting nailed in the belly. Ruddock had a tendency to slow down and try to load up for one big punch when frustrated and tired. I think it could go either way, but I would slightly favor Brewster to win either a very close decision or stops Ruddock late. Brewster may have to get off the canvas to do it and would himself be exhausted and badly hurt by the end either way. A draw or miraculous come from behind KO from Ruddock are within the realm of possibility as well. Very crazy matchup.
