Razor Ruddock was a big and strong heavyweight with an abundance of power. He was a decnt boxer and for a time was viewed as a serious threat at taking Mike Tyson's heavyweight Championship. Riddick Bowe was a big heavweight too with grewat boxing skills, a strong jab and excellent power and was well known for his tremendous fights with Evander Holyfield in which he won 2 out of 3 fights finishing with only one career loss. So though I believe that Bowe is superior to Ruddock, I still think it would be a good fight. Here's how I see it going:

    The fight

This is an eagarly anticipated bout and Ruddock has been saying it will become the first man to knock out Bowe. Bowe is also very confident of victory and both men come in in top condition. The first 4 round would have Ruddock trying to cut off the ring and unload some bombs but Bowe wisely ties him up and establishes his jab. Ruddock would land some good shots but Bowe would have an answer to everything he throws. In round 10 Ruddock would land a one two combo and send Ruddock down to the canvas. He would beat the count but would be in no condition to continue.

    Bowe by 10th round TKO.

Bowe KO within 7. Bowe has too much in his aresenal, and is extremely durable.
Ruddock was a beast, but too one dimensional. Bowe eats everything Ruddock dishes out,
but Bowe would dominate with the jab. If a slugfest were to ensue which is likely, Bowe
    outslugs Ruddock.

How about a match between Bowe Conqueror Andrew Golata vs Razor Ruddock?.. I think this is an example of how styles match up differently and is not an example of fighter A beat B and therefore would beat C... I think Ruddock beats Golota.. Bowe at his best would beat Ruddock

Yeah I concur with the consensus thus far. Bowe wins this. But I can't see this being anything less than a great fight for however long it lasts. As for the question above, I think I Golata vs Ruddock would have been good too.

Before 1992 Ruddock wins, and probably in 1995 also.

I think bowe should win this one but Ruddock could hit, his left hand was one of the hardest shots ive ever seen, and he was big and awkward.
bowe struggled with the big awkward golota, though bowe did seem faded.
its definitely possible for ruddock to win by ko, but id personally favour bowe who really knew how to fight.

Two big guys, about the same size, with about the same power. The difference being, Riddick was a skilled boxer with a great jab, whereas Ruddock just threw bombs and hoped one landed. I'll take the skilled boxer - mid round TKO.

Nah.. While Bowe was starting to diminish, Ruddock was further gone. He was basically semi retired going into the Morrison fight and while that may have been a premature stoppage, Razor certainly wasn't looking stellar either.

Bowe was a good combination puncher, whereas Ruddock was a good one-hit swatter. Give me the combination puncher every time.

I think to beat Bowe, one has to neautralise his jab. This was one of the key things Golota did in their fight and without his jab pumping, Bowe was not able to measure his man as well.
Ruddock I don't think would have the ability to do that. His own jab was very good on occasion, but often used only as a range-finder or as a disguise for his big left hand. I just can't see him battling on an even footing with Bowe in the jab department.

If Riddick's jab is finding it's mark, he's going to be letting his right hand and left hooks go, and when Bowe was landing with success, he was a very, very formidable guy. He was bold, aggressive and a good finisher when on song.

Ruddock's not active enough or fluid enough to compete with Bowe. He was too much of a fire and forget guy...once he fired his left he forgot he had a right.
He'd be looking for one punch to settle matters and against more limited opposition this often worked, but against a world-class fighter like Bowe I think he'd be looking all night for something that isn't there.

I think Razor would take quite a bit of punishment in this fight. There is a good chance Bowe ends things prematurely or maybe wins a convincing decision.
But we'd need to see the Bowe of Holyfield 1 (or even Holy II) for this to happen. Bowe was often inconsistent so who can say?

Bowe was more well rounded, with a better set of skills than Ruddock Possessed. I see Bowe taking this in a good fun action fight. Wide UD or late stoppage.
