I don't think Hatton is the same fighter anymore, but I still think he can beat a KO artist like Malignaggi with tactical bodypunching. I take Hatton on points as I don't think he has the snap to his punches anymore that will stop someone as resilient as Malignaggi, but the bodywork will hurt MM to the point where he is constantly on the retreat and worrying more about avoiding Hatton's swarming style than racking up any damage himself.

The IBF have stated that if Malignaggi does not defend his belt against his mandatory (Ngoudjo), they will strip him. Unless of course Malignaggi and Ngoujo make an agreement. Yvon Michel, Ngoudjo promoter, has to decide if Ngoudjo needs money right now and pass his turn, or needs a belt. The purse bid will be the 5th of september. If Paulie gets stripped, Ngoudjo would then fight Urango for the vacant title.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. If his hands hold up he could very well beat Hatton.

Paulie seems a bit more down to earth, despite the flash image. Saw some videos from the press conference at the last fight and Hatton and Paliue were shaking hands.

obviously mayweather got to hatton in the lead up,which in turn made hatton make more mistakes going in all guns blazing.and before everyone starts i know how much of a superior boxer pbf is to hatton, but he didnt stick to his gameplan, therefore made it easier 4 pbf,he channeled his aggression wrongly because pbf got under his skin.was just wondering if pm would see this as a positive 4 him in the lead up to this fight.he isnt gonna stop hatton imo but would have an advantage with hatton coming in swinging wildly and use his skills.(starting to ramble i know lol)
for what its worth i see a late tko 4 hatton.

I can see it being a real boring fight, with Hatton not being able to get hold of Malignaggi and Palie popping a few jabs every now and then. Hatton will struggle to get hold of the fight but will scrape a UD in a very boring fight.

Tyson was from brooklyn. And he was born able to Knock Out your father...

Relentless is spot on here... every time a fight comes around people are quick to say "Paulie can't beat fighter X! His power will be his undoing! Fighter X will walk through those featherfisted jabs and eat Paulie alive."

Why hasn't it happened yet? When Paulie utilized the jab well, not even Miguel Cotto walked through his jabs.

Paul Malignaggi beats Hatton ten times out of ten. You may hate him.... but if you do, you may want watch another division because EVERYONE is going to want to fight the guy who is at #1 in the 140#division and that will be Paul Malignaggi. (Wow... I really found myself sounding like HIM as I typed that last sentence.)

Swarming style?! Hatton hits and holds man! he jumps in lets go a couple of punches and wraps people up. He is like a Mini John Ruiz! One of the biggest problems that Hatton is going to have, I see, is that he has sloppy defense when on the offensive. Which is why I think Witter would eat him alive also. Malignaggi's speed and short accurate punches make him tailor made for this type of fight. It will be a boxing tactician's dream...

If Hatton pays more than even money at the ESB bookie, I will bet it all on Hatton, as much as I loathe that creep. I hope Paulie thumps him...but Hatton is one tough son of a gun. I'm fairly sure this is what Hatton is going to do to Paulie::vonnecunt

The closer we get to fight time, the more I think homo will win. Hatton is just not the same anymore and I put all blame on his weight fluctuations. Go watch any of his fights 3-5 years ago and it looks like a totally different fighter.
