never seen him fight @ his best... even though pw did beat him... at the same time marg did start slow and was catchign up @ the end

he brings alot to the table but @ the same time..weve never really seen HIM bring it all to the table...
this saturday will be the day to see if margarito can bring it all to the table or is margarito a fluke

i know why you're going with marg. it's like many cotto fans. the longer it takes for this fight to happen, you have more time in your head to think of all the different scenarios that can play out.

the time leads to a lot of doubt with your original pick. b/c this fight seems to be such a toss up, you dont feel confident in your pick 100%

but damnit, i'm a cotto fan. i am not going to pick against someone who on paper has nearly every advantage there is.

all this stuff about margarito is a stylistic nightmare b/c he is big, strong, and throws a million punches doesnt matter to me.

cotto has the speed, accuracy, superior boxing skills, superior ring intelligence, same determination, same hunger, and contrary to what people think is probably just as strong are margarito.

the only chance marg has in this fight to win is a puncher's chance. i refuse to let that be a reason to doubt Cotto in this fight.

when this fight was first announced i probably would have said something along the lines of...

nobody in the ww division can beat cotto except for floyd.

but ive been processing the fact that cotto can and has gotten stung by punches before.. adn i know margo's going to be after him like a mad man...

so as the fight came closer i just became 50 50

but like they tell you when taking a test... usually your original intuition is the best 1....

 

i think Walk with me is being objective when it comes to picking who he thinks will win, I assumed Cotto would be able to beat Margarito as well early on, However I just see too many openings for Tony in this fight, Cotto is wide open for just about every punch in the book, and being that Cotto has been hurt badly in fights, more so than Tony, and knowing Tonys style and his power and work rate, that is alot for Cotto to deal with going in.
Perhaps I am wrong, and will glady eat crow if I am, But I just dont see Cotto fighting the perfect fight, his style does not allow him to fight the perfect fight.
