Check out the adverbial function of "remotely serious" without saying "even remotely serious" lol. The comma after "serious" causes the comma splice to totally look and sound ignorant as if you need a period or a few more words to complete and end the sentence lol. Now the comma after "was" and then what he wrote..."then throws a line"...it reads even more stupid lol...:nut
