mayweather is retiring. at age 30 he has felt he has hit everythign he could do in his career.

from super featherwieght to light middlewieght. against some top tier opposition. fighting men far bigger than himself.

But remember this guy said he wanted to be the next leonard when he was young...he has also sayed he wants to be like "robinson,ali...all those guys"

now if you know somthin about leonard, robinson, ali you will know that they retired early almost in the lower peak of there careers........THEN made a comeback.

i have no problems of floyd becoming retired for a while. staying out of the sport is a great way of preserving your later life problesm that boxers face punch drunkness for example

he has also made a ton of money and now he can spend it, be able to drink and eat if he wants to.

But the point is he will comeback. i am so sure of it.

:hi: see you in a few years or so floyd

ali, leonard, robinson. During their careers they ducked nobody. They were true champions. I hope he stays retired. I for one wont miss his fat head.

    robnson ducked burley
    leonard ducked pryor

but floyd takes the f'n cake

to be honest man no fighter can fight everybody...there is ALWAYS another contender

    **** Floyd.

If he wants to go down as one of the very best he's just blown that chance by retiring before the potential Cotto fight.

I still think it will happen though if the demand for it rises should Cotto beat Margarito.

oh for god sake people. i made a thread on how he is goign to take a break...not a full retirement and it turns into a who hates floyd most thread.

the guy is a celeb, rapper, promoter, idoland father. yet he is boxer first and foremost.
NO boxer retires they just have different things to do.
take naz fgor example. he is always talking about a comeback. he hasnt retired.....he just hasnt fought for years.

floyd is a boxer and he will always be a boxer he may be a celeb but he is a celeb becuase he boxes not becuase of how nice and/or how rich he is.

i don't buy it either, he's perhaps waiting for cotto to get big. Imagine if cotto wins against margarito, then DLH or hatton.

I smell a big ass fight and mayweather is looking at all that money he can get from a cotto fight

I really hope he fights one last fight with cotto but i have to accept the current moment which sees him a retired boxer. No matter what people say, he's given us a hell of a lot of great performances. You can't expect a great boxer to fight forever. So if he doesn't wanna fight we should respect the man.

    PBF is 31
Robinson by that age had taken on all comers...
Ali was having Wars Vs. Fraizer, Norton ect
And Leonard was fighting his rematch's vs. Hearns & Duran

Floyd just don't want to fight WW's.
