everyone makes out that next for mayweather/williams/pavlik should be the punisher p will, but lets not forget that first williams has to get past cintron.

now i know that margarito twice stopped him, but i am one of "those people" who discounts margaritos victories.(the one time fo sho we know he was innocent, he got twatted). so im not counting them two fights.

brings us to the martinez fight. i think a lot s made of this fight because of the ko/dq debate, remembering that that was no 10-8 round due to the "headbutt" the fight was actually closer than people suggest. i still believe that martinez deserved the victory but after watching the pavlik fight, that aint no big disgrace.

williams is there to be hit, and hard. look what quintana, margo and martinez where able to hurt hit him with. none of these have the power of cintron.

his boxing skill is underrated, greatly. look how he nulified angulo(who is IMO the "next" marg, but only cement free).

i'm not saying cintron is the next sugar ray robinson, but i am saying he is athletic and he can bang. i am saying this shouldnt be seen as a foregone conclusion.

I favor Williams on points but I do pretty much agree with this not being a foregone conclusion at all.

I think Cintron has looked better since moving up to 154 including in his fight with Martinez. He's brought up some athletic quickness to the weight and has done very well in sprucing up his boxing abilities with Ronnie Shields.

One thing I think he's lost is his explosive punching power. He doesn't seem to be quite the puncher at 154 that he was at 147. Still a good puncher, just not a great puncher anymore.

I still think he loses to Williams by the way, however I think the fight will be a lot closer and more competitive than most people think.

Cintron/Williams is about 40/60 IMO. Williams has the edge but Kermit is definitely in the fight!

ye i have noticed there hasn't been any explosive 1 puch kayoes in his last couple of fights. but he has fought

    margo
    ndou
    martinez
    angulo

all of them have proven to have a solid chin. angulo has never been stopped, nor has ndou. margo did have a granite chin at the time. and martinez doesn't take many punches, even pavlik couldnt kayo his ass.

in his latest warm up fight he did wholly out punch and out power juliano ramos however.

i actually give cintron the edge ere ya know. 55-45. i think if williams can put on pressure, cintron might wilt, as he hasnt shown he has that heart yet, anulo never got going vs him.

williams takes punches he doesnt need to and i can see cintron hurting him badly

I question Cintron's heart myself, whereas I think Paul would do what he does even if he was fighting Tyson and just had his left arm bitten off at the shoulder.

Cintron is a very live underdog and showed a lot of positive things vs. Angulo. Williams is tall, awkward and busy and only slick southpaws troubled him in the past (I had Maravilla beating him), but Cintron brings good boxing skills and great power into the ring which makes this a tough call. Gonna have to favor Williams and on paper he looks to be simply too much of everything, but would I be surprised if Kermit won? Absolutely not.

ye i mean cintron clearly gave up in the rematch with margo. but then again ya know, the rematch was a volunary that not only did he not have to take, but he was advised against takin it. so he is a warrior. but this is his last shot at the big time

ye i had martinez winning, and he has shown that he cannot box with a southpaw, but he has also shown he can brawl if needed. i think its a question of how many punches each man can take
