I think the championship is now vacant... With Marg at number 1, and Williams at number 2.

A rematch should take place, Cotto was considered the best in the division and Margarito beat him, Margarito is the top fighter there now.

The question was, "was he better than DLH"

    Don't think so:deal

There's a sure way to settle this... Let's have Paul Williams vs. Margarito rematch... If possible as undercard of Hoya vs. PAC mega fight...

That's usually the way it works.

A string of wins over some quality guys or a dominating performance over a PFP guy is enough to at least get your foot in the door!

then lost to a guy that lost to Cotto. Funny enough I think WIlliams may be done at 147. Anyone notice all the talks of his next fight are against guys NOT at 147?

My bad, then I guess Cotto is still the WBA welterweight champion and is still a top 4-5 PFP fighter.

Why do we even bother having these meaningless fights for:patsch

Whether or not people think Williams is the best welterweight is really meaningless. Williams appears to be done at welterweight.
Hail King Margarito, new #1 welterweight.

Williams recently said in an interview that if MArgarito beats Cotto then the rematch is on :bbb
