I don't think (hope not) tonight changed a single thing about kovalev. maybe some were a little impressed with his comedy.

I think people who understand boxing and have seen his body of work are finally accepting we are witnessing another atg level fighter

You're just being over senstive and overly protective of Kovalev.
I like Kovalev and give him his props. Unlike Golovkin, Kovalev will fight anyone at anytime. No excuses and Kathy D. ain't like that sneaky, penny pinching K2. Duva will try her best to make the fight happen.

But be for real with yourself. This was Jean Pascal. At least 2 levels below Ward and Stevenson. Kovalev ain't fooling himself. He knows what's up. :yep

    Possibly.

But the path to ATG status isn't achieved by beating Pascal twice. That will all depend on his upcoming COMPETITIVE fights.

    and, what's your point?

Reading between the lines, I guess what you are saying is, styles make fights. I completely agree. :good

I don't agree that Pascal and Fonfara are on the same level. Fonfara is a much better boxer than Pascal.

fonfara is on the upswing, while i'm sure kovalev has now ruined pascal.

    Stop crying.

    I made my arguments.

Kovalev is too wide open and squared-up to beat Ward.:deal

Ok, what are you going to claim when kovalev beats ward very badly ? I've never said pascal could ever wins a round against kovalev, that's actually impossible.

I've seen everything I need to see to know what we have in kovalev, if you can't understand what your eyes are showing you, that's too bad. Kovalev is great, if you can't accept that fact, that's too bad.

Tons of people on here claim ward is great, I don't think ward is a true great and I'm positive that'll be clear if ward makes it to kovalev

I think "great" is used far too freely today. Both Kovalev and Ward are very good top tier boxers, but neither have yet established their greatness.
You don't become great without competing with equally talented competitors.
Ali had Foreman. SRL had Hearns.
Kovalev has Stevenson and Ward. We had to reserve the "great" until later. For now, good will do. This applies to Ward and Stevenson also.

Judging from how he looked in the ring last night, Stevenson will never make 175 again. He looked like a fullback.

    Kovalev ain't great...not even close.

Kovalev has never done anything remotely considered great.
You might as well call Stevenson great while you're at it.

    Great fighters do great things.:deal

What are you going to say when I say

    "I told you so"

Ward ain't Cleverly and B-Pops or the rest of that trash on Kovalev's joke of a resume.:yep
